Withey Likes the Jayhawks

Jeff Withey still remembers his trip to Lawrence back in the fall of 2006. He took in a lot during his trip to Lawrence, including the annual Kansas basketball kick off celebration, ‘Late Night in the Phog’.

Kansas Falls Out of Polls

After their disappointing performance Saturday, the defending champs are now out of both polls. The Jayhawks will have their opportunities in the coming weeks to jump back into the polls if they can pull some upsets of their own. Wins against Temple, Arizona, and Siena could certainly put the Hawks back into the polls.

Can Little Fill the Void?

The Minutemen came in with a game plan to slow down the Kansas offense on Saturday afternoon, and for most of the game, that plan worked. FORCE THEM TO SHOOT. By sagging down and clogging the lane, the Minutemen forced the Jayhawks to knock down shots from the perimeter. Big Shots Won’t Fall For Kansas

If I said before Saturday’s game inside the Sprint Center between Kansas and Umass, that one team would shoot 46% and the other team would shoot 34%, most would think the Jayhawks would head back to Lawrence with a win. That wasn’t the case Saturday afternoon as it was Kansas that only shot 34% from the field and allowed UMass to hold for big win. Read the rest of this entry »
