Just for a minute, think back to the year 2005. Think back to when Mario Chalmers, Brandon Rush, Julian Wright, and Micah Downs were all freshmen. Russell Robinson, Shasha Kaun, C.J. Giles, and Darnell Jackson were just sophomores. That team was loaded with talent. Talent that had proven nothing and beaten no one. At 5-11 and 185 lbs., the Trinity H.S., Texas safety is rated #77 at his position by ESPN and has an offer from Wisconsin, along with interest from Nebraska and New Mexico. Kansas Players Receive Honors

It’s that time of year where newspapers and magazines start handing out honors to some of the best football players in the country and in respective conferences. With a season that led to the Insight Bowl which put KU in back to back bowl games for the first time ever. Insight Bowl: Kansas versus Minnesota

It’s hard to believe (okay maybe not) that in the 119-year history of Kansas football, KU has never made back-to-back bowl appearances. Ray Evans? No. Gayle Sayers? No. John Riggins? No. Okay what about Tony Sands? No. Jake Sharp??? YES! KU has come a long way in a short amount of time and another bowl victory after last years Orange Bowl showing would only enhance the visibility of the KU football program. On New Years Eve the Jayhawks (7-5, 4-4) will face the Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-5, 3-5) at the Insight Bowl in Tempe Arizona.
