Andrew Wiggins was slated to meet with Roy Williams on Monday, Bill Self on Tuesday and Leonard Hamilton on Wednesday. According to his coach at Huntington Prep, Rob Fulford, Wiggins has cancelled those visits but not because he’s ready to announce his decision.
“Yes,” answered Fulford about Wiggins cancelling his visits. “He is still trying to get back to Huntington. Flights have been canceled and he is drained. He will talk to all 3 by phone. No announcement date as of yet.”
The USA Team tried to cut the lead in the last minute of the game, but the World Team wouldn’t budge in the 112-98 victory of the 16th annual Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.
It was the first time ever the World Team has won the event twice in a row.
Joel Embiid displayed a good performance alongside No. 1 recruit Andrew Wiggins. Embiid, the 7-footer with a 7-foot-5 wingspan, will be joining the No. 3 recruiting class in 2013-14 under Bill Self’s staff.
