IRIVING, Texas – Kansas’ men’s basketball game at Florida on Dec. 10 will be part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge, the two conferences announced Tuesday. The Big 12/SEC Challenge will begin during the 2013-14 season.
“This will be very good for our league,” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “We have a very difficult draw with our game in Gainesville (Florida), but it should be a great preparation game; one that will warrant a lot of national attention. Florida has one of the better rosters in America and has a chance to win it all. Hopefully we’re moving in that direction as well. Ranked the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2013 by every recruiting service, Wiggins, a 6-7 forward from Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, announced his signing at Huntington (W. Va.) Prep. He chose KU over Kentucky, Florida State and North Carolina. Wiggins averaged 23.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.5 assists last season for Huntington Prep leading his team to a 30-3 record.
