Scouts, Inc. Evaluation

Webster is a slightly built running back prospect with good foot-speed and quickness. Projects best in an open spread offense that employs heavy outside zone schemes. Shows good lateral agility and quicks stretching the run outside without losing a lot in transition. Runs with good balance, body control and vision. Built low to the ground and utilizes his shorter stature and good initial quickness picking and darting his way through the initial traffic. Shows some natural running skill and sees the field well and the smaller creases open quickly. Displays above average burst out of his downhill cuts when he finds a north-south seam to daylight. Flashes a sneaky extra gear when he breaks free into the second level and adequate top-end speed. Does appear quicker than fast. Our main concern is his marginal in-line strength and lack of power and explosiveness. Durability is a concern. Not a fulltime back and projects to be more of change-of-pace/multi-purpose type runner in college and will need to get into a spread offense that gets him touches in a variety of ways in space, has good hands and receiving skills. Overall, Webster could see his recruiting stock improve with a big senior season and improved size. Has good feet and shows flashes of college running talent.
