Terry is a very good athlete with coveted size, ball skills and versatility. Could get recruited on either side of the ball at the next level; we like his tools to develop at safety or receiver. Has good height and a well-defined, leaner frame that has a lot of physical development left. Actually has above average body strength for his size. Displays good hands, concentration and a fairly large catch radius. Very comfortable around the football on both sides of the ball. Needs some polish but is a smooth route runner who excels on intermediate routes, loses little speed at the top of his stem. Not overly explosive off the line but can deceptively get up the seam, stretch and get behind the defense. Displays above average acceleration (smooth stride) after the catch and some lateral wiggle jump-cutting defenders in the openfield. Lacks great long speed but can certainly eat up yards vertically. Slippery to wrap up but is not very explosive or a game-breaker. Hands and route running skills will need refinement. We do like his versatility and ability to line up at different spots and create mismtaches; shows good footwork, in-line shiftiness and burst out of his cuts at running back. In the defensive secondary, he opens and turns smoothly and overall is a fluid athlete who could come down over slots at the next level and match up in space. We like his hips and ability to stick tightly to receivers out of their breaks in man coverage, flashes good burst out of his cuts. Shows good recovery quickness with proper playside hand technique to deflect a lot of balls. Does tend to let receivers slip behind him and we feel his vertical speed will be tested at the major college level. Could have difficulty adjusting to the increased physicality of the game as well and will really need to improve his overall run support skills to play down in the box. Pedal and coverage technique need some polish. Overall, Terry has a lot of natural talent to mold up and his best football is definitely ahead of him, his success may be predicated on physical development and improved explosiveness. May benefit from a redshirt year.
