as for your example: if the recruiting guys are wrong on a small handful of top 40 or 50 (or whatever) and correct on nearly every sub/fringe-100 player, i'll roll the dice every time. you can name 3 or so top players every year they're wrong on, but aside from the kid from arizona a couple years ago, who was the last sub-100 player they missed on?

Anyone that says or agrees with someone that says "I believe in the rankings" when you just read an entire page full of reasons these rankings are off base.. Well that makes you on this guys team... AKA Team Douche. Sorry fellas...

Ridiculous comment, as usual. The staff's mission has not been to rely and groom undervalued recruits. They go after top players year in and year out. Tell me Rio and Doyle were on the staff's wishlist last Summer.

Keep it civil fellas. Disagree all day, but keep it civil. I can actually see both side of your arguments here. It's interesting. I don't believe it has to be one or the other. I believe that sometimes the rankings get it right and sometimes they don't. I also believe that given the chance, Self is going to take the highest rated player possible. Not because the rankings say so, but because usually those kids are just flat out better.

Townsend has kept track of Anrio for years. They don't recruit one player at a time. They are probably keeping track of a dozen 13 players and up to 50 14 players right now.

You are the most arrogant poster of all time. First you start a thread that says, "must read", and it's your own stuff. You spend all day and night researching recruits and posting stuff on here and don't even get paid to do it. That my friend is pretty lame. Get out of your mom's basement, and get a job, or go to school, do something with your life other than stocking a bunch of 13 to 18 year old's. I appreciate Rbird's contributions. I get that he hurt your feelings, and that he may be a little emotional from time to time, but he contributes a ton of information to the boards, and anyone who can't appreciate that is missing the entire point of a site like this' existence.
