#1 Seed
Lunardi is already prediciting us for the #1 seed in the South region next year!!
He has MU as a #5 seed in the east, they will never get that high of a seed next year, IMO

I like the way next year's tourney could set up for us. 1st weekend in KC with the second weekend in either Arlington or Indianapolis. We should be a legit top 5 team and anything is possible under coach Self.
As for Mizzou, if their transfers gel then they will have a decent team. I don't see this team having the same chemistry and I think Haith's true coaching ability will show.

May be a little biased on the Coach Haith front...

Agree on all counts ... Never count HCBS out ... He is the best in the biz IMO ...
As for Haith ... The MU fans are convinced they are going to be the team that dethrones UK in the SEC this year (they seem to be disregarding Florida, Vandy, and others) ... That said, I think their world will be crashing down by mid-December ... If history serves true, they had 2 decent teams in a decade and that is just crazy!!!
Also I fucking hate Missouri so of course I am going to be biased.

Just think, if KU gets a 1 seed that would be 3 out of 4 years and 5 of 7. That would just be stupid.

AS much as I hate missery they have a very impressive first 7 next year with what they have returning and then the three transfers and maybe four.

and this is the problem, if they continue to play above average ball I'm going to want to play them every year so we can keep them humble

Mizzou will be very good IMO... I agree with this article.
http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcspor...tated/related/
Also I hope they are good now because I dislike Kentucky more than Mizzou!
As far as KU goes yes the Jayhawks should be very good and capable of a long NCAA run. Baylor will give us a ride for the Big 12 title though. Texas will be good too.
I know most of you all don’t like these opinions but I am realistic. Our PG play may very well determine how good we will be…….

Exactly..because losing two basketball games in a single season is much more heinous than having residents from a bordering state cross a river and proceed to burn villages, rape your women, murder children, and pillage your crops.

And the UK guy brings in some much needed perspective...
Though I root against UK in every possible scenario, I recognize that its because they compete with us as a top 3 program. I gained a ton of respect for Cal this year- obviously the respect for the program has always been there. I hate the one and done rule, but Cal didn't make the rule- and last I checked Self was going after the same players.
I have absolutely no respect for Missouri in any way shape or form. I grew up in KC, and am 22 years old. Though I am a relatively young guy, I have seen 3 distinct phases of Missouri sports:
Phase 1: Growing up on the playground, Missouri had some great basketball teams (Norm). Missouri fans were crazy about basketball and there was a true athletic rivalry.
Phase 2: The Quinn Snyder era ushered in a decade (close to a decade at least) of utter failure. Missouri fans literally ceased giving a damn about their athletic program, and turned every ounce of the focus to just ripping KU. To be a Missouri sports fan, it didn't matter if you watched MU's games- it only mattered that you were up to date on the latest smart-ass comments to throw at your KU buddies.
Phase 3: Mizzou athletics, tired of being owned by Kansas (even in football-the Orange Bowl situation is my favorite chapter in the rivalry), picked up their toys and left home for the SEC. This coincided with a spike in athletic success, and now MU fans think they are a big deal again. Of course when they lost in the first round, they resorted back to ragging on KU- see that little bitch Phil Pressey's comments about how a season is not a success if it ends with a loss. Well Phil, if that's your definition of a successful season, you play for a program that has literally never even sniffed success.
Sorry, my rant is finished. I have a big test tomorrow and I needed a break.

Man, I'm with ya. When a culture of losing goes all the way back to the civil war, the loser culture is inbred in the inbreds.

Yeah but c'mon Blue, you guys are the cheatin'est everrrr. Documented and proofed! There has to be that asterisk attached to everything you've ever won.
Now there's Cal. We've hashed about him ever since his first FF was vacated.
But he's had 2 now, and it's just the same as it's always been at UK. Wink wink.

I see that the ESPN Hype train has brainwashed you. Who cares that Self goes after the same players, it's about how Cal gets them there, ie; WWW, Phil Knight/AAU, etc etc.
