Start your day with a laugh. (Zona=Clowns)

"We all want to step in and really contribute from Day 1," Tarczewski said. "I don't think we really have the same type of players as (Kentucky) did, so I think it will definitely be different than that, but that's what we want to be able to do, to step in and hopefully win a national championship this year."

LOL Woody don't make me laugh or they'll have to start a love thread for us instead of a personalized hate thread of doom.

I won't really get on him for that,as you have to like the attitude, but they aren't going to do much unless they get a proper pg.

Run out a line-up with no guards. Seems legit.

I'll be surprised if Tarcdummy is as good as David Padgett.
That is all.

I actually believe Tarc has a great shot of playing for a title...in three years when he's at KU.

Until either proves they can win a post season tournament game with their current coaches, that may be a bit of a stretch.
Edit: In fairness, Miller & Team did pretty well in last year's tournament.

I think if we as KU fans had the recruiting class coming in that UA does, we would be ecstatic. However, we all know that some recruiting classes don't work out, and others step up and do great. Once you get them in the door, it becomes how well can they play as a team and be coached. I'll take Bill Self any day of the week for that stuff!

Yeah, if we had their recruiting class coming in after a typical KU season we would be hyped. But they can't even get out of the first round of the NIT. I'm not convinced recruiting can fix what's wrong in AZ

I honestly think Arizona will lose 8-10 games next season and make it to the Sweet 16, then get knocked out.

Name the last Bill Self recruiting class that didn't work out for the program. Not a call out by any means, I totally agree with you- I'll take Bill Self coaching the Shawnee Mission East high school team any day over the current UA regime.

While I agree with the sentiment, we had 0 scholarshipped Soph's on this year's team, with exception of Justin Wesley who was a RS Soph and was also a walk on granted a scholarship due to availability.
2 scholarshipped Frosh's on the team this year were eligible to play, and one of them (Merv) just announced he is transferring.
The last couple years were pretty lean when talking players actually available to play.

I get what your saying- I was more talking about the success of the program overall under Self. We have won the most games in CBB since Self arrived. Every class that has been here has enjoyed a pretty high level of success under Bill. Even Selby made the Elite 8. We have been succesful with every recruiting class we've had (even if the guys in the class didn't contribute much, like this year).

How about taking it a step at a time there Zona....less we forget UK had 2 previous teams that went to the elite 8 and the Final Four....everyone acts like that team just got off the bus with 7 frosh and won a title...yes they did it with a lot of freshman...but they had 2 other first rounders (maybe even lottery/fringe lottery) and a really good senoir.
Arizona has NONE of that.
How about you start with winning your shitty league and not losing any players. Then work your way up.

8-10 losses may be reasonable in the Suc-12, but round of 16 is probably not gonna happen with that bunch.
