This UK is a great team but....
based on Calipari's past, there is a 100% chance this Final Four will be vacated. I think the UK players are good kids but after watching Calipari's post game interviews/speeches, Calipari's ego negates their accomplishments. He should write a book on the art of pimping. He is one of the many reasons why I am proud to be KU not UK everyday.

I really doubt it's vacated, but I agree that it's difficult to listen to Cal talk. There's just something about him...smug attitude perhaps, that I find incredibly irritating. The way he gives our program back-handed compliments is sickening and really pisses me off.

I don't think this championship will be vacated. As someone said earlier Calipari would have be really idiotic to cheat while at Kentucky, they can recruit and do everything without cheating. Not to mention I really don't think the NCAA wants to vacate a team's season who won the title, that would look awful.

I thought the guy would be happier during his post game interviews. You can tell the guy just feels guilt about something. Not trying to take away from his coaching or KU's team or anything, but something is holding him back from enjoying this success. He's probably wondering if it was worth it right about now.

After how he has been Greg through the mud by the media do you really think he wants to be chirpy with them? Cal was a different guy in the locker room.

Well, I personally think it's only a matter of time before Cal is coaching in the NBA. He would've been coaching two seasons ago if the Bulls had taken him as part of a LeBron package deal. They opted for Carlos Boozer and Tom Thibodeaux instead, which has worked out well for them.
For whatever reason, I think Pat Riley cans Erik Spoelstra (rightfully so, that guy is an awful coach) and brings in LeBron's ol' buddy John Calipari if Miami doesn't win a title this year.

I wanted to leave a quick note for all those KU fans who possess the character to show class even after such a tough loss. The Jayhawks are a most worthy adversary..they have demonstrated time and time again this season that they set the standard as one of the top programs in all of college basketball history..from the coaching staff; the outstanding young men who wear the crimson and blue; and lastly to the crazy fans who put their souls into every possession in every game every season. I feel your pain in this loss..because I have felt that very pain many times over the years...be optimistic because as surly as the sun rose this morning, the Jayhawks will be in the mix next year and every year there after. That is what class programs do..Kansas has nothing to be ashamed of..they had an incredibly difficult path just to get to the championship game..and did not disappoint once they got there..the outcome was always in doubt and your kids played with a higher purpose..congratulations on a tremendous season and good luck going forward..Rock Chalk..

^^^^^^+1.
Others dislike Cal because he is smug, he is arrogant, but people really dislike him because he is unapologetic for embracing the new era of college basketball. Talented players are going to go to a school, play, play well, then move on to the NBA. Every school now has one and dones.... UK, UNC, Duke, even your Jayhawks. After the NBA draft this June, Cal will likely have coached 15 (possibly 16) 1st round draft picks in the last 3 years at UK, and in doing so has coached that talent to an Elite 8, a Final Four, and now a National Championship. Talent is one thing, but it does not guarantee success. Getting that talent to play as unselfishly as this team did takes tremendous coaching so give the man the credit he is due. Oh, and get used to the style working because unless other programs adapt, it will continue for him. Not titles every year, but success similar to the last three years which is fine with this member of Big Blue Nation!
Great game, heck of a job by Coach Self, and the Jayhawk team. Let's do it again next year in Atlanta!

Yeah, it really blows, but we had a tremendous season regardless of losing last night. Congrats to you and your team, you guys clearly had the best team in the country all year long. I just wish Anthony Davis' arms were each about 6-8 inches shorter.

Blue, Congrats to you and your team. They are an extraordinary collection of athletes and you are a class act. Hope we play again next year.

+1, and it's obvious that every fanbase has its losers, fires and shootings in Kentucky last night.

Yeah I saw that. How are you gonna get so happy about winning a championship that you decide to shoot somebody?! Like "I'm just so happy right now I gotta go bust a cap in somebody's ass!" WTH?!

Unfortunately, there are many young UK fans who can't act like "they have been there before" because they haven’t been there..knuckleheads are in every fan base..and they just tend to show their ass when the spotlight is on them..SMH..

Thanks for the awesome insight buddy! You might not like me being a realist but it is true. Part of my job includes reading people's body language. Everyone knows how dark his caoching past is. When the allogations finally come in he will be running like Pete Carroll. Tough.

UK fans like BlueOrion and KCUKFan are the minority when it comes to their fanbase. After being in NO this weekend I can honestly say I didn't talk to a single UK fan that wasn't a complete ass, I was cordial with just about every fan supporting OSU and Louisville, but jesus UK fans are the worst fans I've ever encountered.
I'm sorry to the legit UK fans that post here, but I am rooting for this one to be vacated.

he'd still get the top non-NBA talent, his coaching ability might bring the results down, though.

I still feel the players who want to go straight out of HS should be allowed to while those that choose to go to college must attend for 2 years.

It's ultimately the decision of David Stern and the mafia of the NBA. Personally, I'm all about letting kids go to the pro's directly out of high school WITHOUT a two year commitment if they do decide to go to college.
This whole one year deal is doing no good, kids are still making dumb decisions about going pro even with that rule in place (Josh Selby), and I don't think it'd be any different if you make a kid stay for two years.

Yeah, Stern will never let the out of HS thing happen. It costs his teams too much money to recruit High Schools. He did voice some support for raising to 20.
