Default Game thoughts

Well I guess this will be the last time for a while. Honestly didn't think I would be doing this for the national title game.

We didn't quit but if there was one play that I didn't understand it was when we cut it to either 4 or 5 and we had the steal and TT didn't go get the ball and instead jones dives saves it and they get a foul.

Davis is npoy....he blocks shots without fouling he is really really good.

TT- Finally hit a 3, had some nice drives, wish he would have turned it over less and scored more but TYSHAWN THANK YOU FOR A GREAT 4 YEARS.

T-rob- had his double double but honestly it seemed like he struggled. He didn't finish all his shots underneath and it was a bummer but he played his heart out....JAYHAWK NATION WILL ALWAYS LOVE T-ROB

Rele- didn't score a lot but slowed down gilcrist as expected. See you next year Rele and you better be ready to score like the previous games

EJ- made a few, missed a few but still played his heart out. Had two big plays down the stretch where he jumped out of bounds and threw it to nobody and his 3 where he traveled. PUT YOUR SHOES ON EJ WE NEED YOU NEXT YEAR!

Withey- had some great blocks but didn't finish underneath. Hudy will help him this offseason.

We got outrebounded and didn't shoot the ball well for 2 halves which was our downfall. We got hammered on the boards and that might have been the difference.

uk is good but man I hope they don't start ruining college bball....hope they get vacated in 1-2 years as he leaves for the knicks.

What a year, what a run, what a resilient team!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Well the main point going into this game was I thought we couldn't get down by double digits to end the half, UK was just too good to come back that much from. We almost did it, some empty possessions will unfortunately mar this comeback attempt.

That said, it wasn't because they didn't try, and they never quit.

Great season and we went further than I think most, if not all of us, thought they would. The ride was immensely enjoyable. I got my 8 year old son thoroughly hooked now on KU basketball - and we live in Texas!

Thank you TT, Conner T, and TRob, you played your hearts out and did your school proud. I couldn't be prouder of a group of guys. Travis, you and EJ and Jeff, are the "big 3" next year. Coach will get you some help, promise! Take us on another great ride. Coach Bill Self, you are a class act man. Humble yet gracious in defeat even though we all know it hurt. This one will sting, but you weren't outcoached for sure!

I love this team (and I love that beautiful bird that respresents our school displayed so proudly and awesomely on Naismith Court) and it's sad to have the season end in a loss - my son is inconsolable - when there were so many opportunities, but it wasn't meant to be. Here's to 2012-2013 - a little more depth, a little more consistent outside shooting, and continued great defensive pressure when it matters most. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

I'm so sad. Our team overachieved all year. Oh wait. We finished 2nd on an off year.

Hold your head up boys. We proved a point this year

The NPOY is a great college player but he is going to struggle in the NBA.

Withey shut him down. He did not make one basket while Withey was on the court, and was 1-10 overall from the field.

Davis wont be able to ball like he did in college in the NBA. That kid is going to get owned. Those blocks, they wont happen with 6'9" 240 lbs Wings driving the lane.

Terrific college player though.

Withey made some serious money tonight. When he gets stronger and he's gonna shut down centers defensively in the NBA. But honestly I dont even wanna talk about the game. I just wanna celebrate the guys whose careers as Jayhawks are over.

I wanna be there when TT and TRob's jerseys are retired. Thats how much respect and admiration I have for those young men.

He better put on some serious weight if he's going to be a "beast."

I think Bill Self said it the best at the beginning of the season when he said this season will be a struggle but you'll enjoy the ride. It was a great season and alot of fun to watch. My hats off to the 2011-12 team.
