College ball - that is, running a college program - is much different than pro ball, or even college basketball from the late 80s.
This is not that far-fetched guys. I don't know why I should have to defend my position like this.

I love how when people disagree with you you have to go all rbird on them. As if you're always right and everybody else is always wrong. I will give you this...your name is perfect.

Listen, Woodrow, all I'm saying is to give an idea a chance before throwing it away so you can go worship Larry Brown. Plus, there's a way to respectfully disagree, and you apparently don't know how to do it.

By respectful, you mean calling people arrogant for disagreeing with you? Whatever. I've got no problem with your opinion. As I stated earlier, my problem is the fact that guys like you and rbird think you have to be right about everything...and the rest of us are always wrong. Fair enough?

I don't know WHY I keep coming to this site expecting to have civil discourse with some of you guys. Goodness. I can't even share an idea without "That's so stupid" or "What the fuck". It would be one thing if I said the world was flat, but my comment was that Larry Brown wanted to spend some time with a good program to help get him reacclimated with what a quality program looks like before he jumps back into coaching. No shit he's a good coach. Yes I know that. But he used to coach at KU, he obviously likes Bill Self, he wants to get back into coaching college ball, and he hasn't done it for a quarter of a century. How ridiculous is it that he would want to hang around KU's program a little before he jumped in?

Whether I agree or not that he needs to get re-acclimated, I actually hope you're right. I would love to have Brown on the bench for as long as he wants to be there, no matter the reason(s).
