Default Royce White going pro?

According to this article, White is leaving Iowa St for the NBA.

Could be good for KU. ISU could be very good next year, especially if White returns. If he's gone I like our chances at 9 in a row.

Should definitely benefit KU a little. I think we could get 9 either way but this does help.

Smart move by him, stock is high. The Mayor obviously has really good contacts in the league and probably got some solid feedback.

He was and is a stud. Good luck to him and glad to see him go as he would have been a monster next year.

Royce is a beast, and the anxiety issues can be controlled by medication. I wish him the best. If basketball doesn't work out, he is a very talented young man in other areas so I think he will be fine.

Kid can ball. Someone will take him late first and be happy with him for a long time.

I generally like Royce White as a player and all..but, I was a little surprised by his chest pounding and mouthing to the cameras "I'm the best player" after his team made a little run against UK last Saturday night..then in the next several minutes his team got their ass handed to them (karma?)..wonder how the whole anxiety thing will affect him when he has to routinely hop onboard airplanes in the NBA..?? Good luck to him going forward...

I know what you mean Blueorion, but he definitely took it to you guys' NBA front line in that game. He was the best player on the court

If it wasn't for Christopherson and Allen going in "Dumb Mode" after they tied the game at 42 it may have ended up being a better end to that game. I mean, competitive.

I think they will have to slip him sleeping pills in his hamburgers, then drag his lifeless body on the plane, BA Baracus style.

Signed,

It must have been a last second decision to add in that cute "signed: Terrance Jones" thingie..unfortunately your whole memo is now thrown out of context...and I am amused at your lack of syntax rather than incensed at some truth you may have unwittingly exposed...

I think the announcers said he mouthed it to the ISU fans in the stands. Regardless, it was a little surprising. Although, I have to say, at the time he did it, he was the undisputed, best player on the court. Couldn't believe UK's defense let him "drive" the length of the floor multiple times, down the center of the lane, and in for an easy dunk. UK's defense kicks ass. Seriously, how the F does that happen?

thats because for 33 games this season davis and jones would run down to the paint on defense after kentucky scored. this was the first time they played against a center who brought the ball up

I get that part, but after the first time it happens...

I mean, you've run all the way down the court, with no idea where your man is (nor do your teammates apparently know where he is, or aren't willing to help make him change directions) and he dunks on you, baseline to baseline but not on a fast break. That's bad enough, but to let it happen AGAIN(!?!), that's the part I don't quite understand.

I too was perplexed...nobody thought to stop the ball...there is no excuse for that sort of lapse in fundamental defense...and Royce was definitely the best player on the court..its just not up to him to say that, in my opinion...that was why I was surprised..he seems like a kid that has too much class to toot his own horn like that..
