Default Bold Predictions

Myron Medcalf predicting TRob will avg 28/12 vs NCST and UNC/OHIO. I have to be realistic and say this crazy. Teams have figured out how slow him down. Play a small lineup where he has to chase somebody around all game which is exhausting, and double/triple him making someone else beat them. He will get his double-double due to sheer athleticism and motor. But I just don't see him averaging more than 15 the rest of the way. Hope I'm wrong.

If by slow him down you mean 11 points and 13 boards and basically dedicating your ENTIRE team to slowing him down and praying that we shoot 4-30 in a half and dont show up in the 2nd half....then yea, thats worked out well for a lot of teams....

I kinda do want to play UNC in the tourney again now. Was watching 08 highlights again and I'm getting pumped up/chills.

I don't want to overlook NC State, because we could definitely lose that one, but I agree, playing UNC again would be sweet. Especially because we all know how soft Roy's teams always are and if there's one thing a Self team never is, it's soft.

UNC didn't look like pushovers in the Creighton game. Creighton tried to throw their weight around but it didn't last long.

Yes true. Lets dont forget that NC ST. can be freakishly good. Plus they are on a roll.

Here is the thing not every team can or wants to play small ball. Most teams in fact play more of a traditional lineup and are not going to try and go small against KU just because Purdue did it. I know I can't see UNC doing it or NC State. Granted NC State's big man are athletic and Leslie can play outside a little bit, but still don't see it.
