Nike EYBL Dallas Highlights: Xavier Rathan Mayes, Tyler Ennis, Andrew Wiggins, BeeJay Anya and Anthony Barber
This just in: People like to watch Kansas basketball in person
Kansas men’s basketball has numerous current streaks and for the 26th-consecutive year the Jayhawks have led their conference in home attendance as the NCAA recently announced its final attendance figures for the 2011-12 season.
Dating back to the 1986-87 season, Kansas has led the Big Eight/Big 12 in men’s basketball home attendance. This past season, KU averaged 16,445 fans per home contest, which ranked 10th nationally. This average included 16 games in historic Allen Fieldhouse with a home average of 16,300 and one game at the Sprint Center in Kansas City which had 18,757 fans witness the KU-Davidson meeting in the M&I Kansas City Shootout on Dec. 19, 2011. The event is part of the KU home ticket package, hence is added to the home attendance average. KU has led its conference in home attendance average for 31 of the last 35 seasons dating back to 1977-78. Read the rest of this entry »
Nike EYBL Dallas Highlights – Allerik Freeman & Jahlil Okafor
2013 SG Allerik Freeman cleared up some confusion on Saturday when he told TheShiver.com that he always had 5 schools on his list, not 2 as previously reported (interview here). At Nike EYBL stop #3 in Dallas this past weekend Freeman looked to be coming out of the funk he found himself in at EYBL stop #2, Boo Williams, a couple of weeks ago.
