Offense Shines at Spring Game
It’s hard to gage the value of a collegiate football team based on a Spring Game performance but one thing is for certain: This team is much improved.
The heavy stacked Blue squad beat up on the overmatched White team 34-7 though there were plenty of positives, and a few negatives on both sides.
KU Football Spring Game Checklist: Defense
Charlie Weis and his Kansas Jayhawks begin the process of rebounding from a disappointing 1-11 2012 campaign when the kickoff the 2013 season Saturday with their annual Spring Game.
Start time for the game is a 1p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will also be several family friendly events including Train Like a Jayhawk and Bike Rodeo which will begin at 10a.m. and conclude with the scrimmage.
The Jayhawks have been hard at work over the past 5 weeks of practice and several story lines have emerged throughout the process. Although there are several more notable Jayhawks that have yet to arrive (Marquell Combs, Marcus Jenkins-Moore, Samson Fiafilli, and others) there is plenty to keep you eye on during Saturday’s unveiling.
Here’s a look at the defense.
