The Big 12 Tournament kicks off today in Kansas City, Mo. It’s the first time since 2008 that the tournament will be played in Kansas City, and once again, Kansas City will prove to be the best city to host the annual tournament.

The Kansas Jayhawks won’t take the floor until Thursday, but the some plenty of teams will square off today in hopes of advancing in the tournament. Wednesday’s games kick off with Colorado and Texas Tech, with the winner advancing to play the #1 ranked Jayhawks.

Josh-SelbyThe #7 player in the ESPNU 100, Josh Selby, will make his college decision known at the Jordan Brand Classic in New York City on April 17th. According to Selby’s mother, Maeshon Witherspoon, the timing of the event worked out perfect since Selby planned on announcing his decision in April anyway. Read the rest of this entry »

Kansas UCLA BasketballFor anyone who follows college basketball, this is the best time of year. It’s Christmas, Mardi Gras and the Fourth of July all wrapped up into one. It’s tournament time!

There are lots of reasons why the tournament is so much fun. For one, it’s the time when anything can happen. Josh-SelbyWord quickly spread on Monday night after at least one member of the media tweeted that the #7 player in the ESPNU 100, Josh Selby, has narrowed his list of schools to Kansas and Tennessee. According to Selby’s mother, Maeshon Witherspoon, that simply is not the case.
