The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team returns to the Sprint Center in Kansas City to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders for their opening round game of the Big XII tournament. The Jayhawks enter the game looking for their 2,000th win in program history and to work on securing the overall number one seed in the NCAA tournament. The Jayhawks are looking to improve to 30-2, before hopefully playing the winner of the Texas A&M/Nebraska game in the semifinals. Texas Tech enters this game with a pedestrian 17-14 record and they are hoping to get back on the winning track after losing their final 7 Big XII games of the regular season. Thursday’s game will be televised on the Big XII Network at 11:30AM CST.

Hawks Looking For Win 2000 Against Red Raiders
Border War Continues in Columbia
The Kansas Jayhawks head to Columbia, Missouri Saturday to finish out their regular season and are looking to continue their dominance over their heated rival, the Missouri Tigers in the Border Showdown. The Jayhawks are looking to improve to 29-2 and 15-1 in Big XII play, before heading into the Big XII tournament in Kansas City next Thursday as the #1 seed. Missouri enters this game with a 22-8 record and are tied for 4th place in the Big XII with a 10-5 record. Saturday’s game will be televised on CBS at 1PM CST.

William Quantrill: Not A Man To Claim As A Hero
With the Border Showdown taking place Saturday betwen the Kansas Jayhawks and the Missouri Tigers, it creates some fun jabbing between Kansas and Mizzou fans. One of the most often cited is the Lawrence Massacre of 1863, or what is somethimes called :Quantrills Raid” by people trying to minimize its severity. You will often see Missouri fans trying to to paint William Quantrill in a positive or at least neutral light, but both descriptions actually stray far from reality. Quantrill was rebel and a terrorist in every modern sense of the word and TheShiver has provided a first hand account of the Lawrence Massacre of 1863. Jayhawks Welcome The Kittens To Allen Fieldhouse
The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team will return to Allen Fieldhouse looking to regain their swagger after a disappointing 85-77 road loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys last Saturday. The Jayhawks will be taking on the Kansas State Wildcats and look to clinch an outright Big XII regular season title with a win. The Jayhawks are looking to improve to 28-2 and 14-1 in Big XII play, before hitting the road again Sunday to take on the Missouri Tigers in Columbia for the Border Showdown. Kansas State enters this game with a 24-4 record and are in second place in the Big XII with an 11-3 record. Wednesday’s game will be televised on the Big XII Network at 7PM CST.

Collins Talks About Final Home Game
Sherron Collins took time to speak with the media on Monday and talk about his storied career at KU. He discussed topics ranging from how he has changed since he came to KU, to his relationship with K-State guard Jacob Pullen. Collins will go down as one of the all time great players to ever put on the Jayhawk uniform due to his play on the court, but his relationship with the media and fans has cemented that role.
