LAWRENCE, Kan. – University of Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self has announced the launch of the Bill Self Basketball Experience (BSBE) slated for April 13-15, 2012. Legendary Allen Fieldhouse is the backdrop for this unique fantasy basketball experience involving one of college basketball’s most powerful and tradition-rich programs.

The event is for basketball playing and non-basketball playing participants ages 35 and older. Campers will compete in storied Allen Fieldhouse, receive expert coaching from current KU staff and former KU greats and enjoy elite social opportunities including an exclusive dinner at the home of Coach Bill Self. As TheShiver indicated early Thursday afternoon, 2012 SG/SF Andrew White will announce his college decision later today in front of family, friends and all the fans in attendance to see Miller High School take on Woodberry Forest. The Kansas Jayhawks will look to make it 6 of 8 against the UCLA Bruins Tuesday night in Maui. The Jayhawks, who dimissed Georgetown 67-63 late Monday night, will face the Bruins for the third straight season which includes a thrilling 77-76 win last season inside Allen Fieldhouse. Via his Facebook account 2012 Center Landen Lucas announced that he has committed to attend the University of Kansas. Lucas, who officially visited this weekend, chose the Jayhawks over Tennessee, Washington, Standford and Cal. I guess Lucas gave everyone a hint that he would put something on his facebook account when he blogged both his facebook link and twitter moniker on PrepForce.com

On his Facebook account Lucas wrote

“Im very blessed and happy to say that I’ll be attending the University of Kansas to play basketball next year! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way! #RockChalkJayHawk”
