It’s surprising to think that a high school linebacker standing 6-foot-3 and 220 pound could get overlooked but that may be the case with Edmond Oklahoma Junior Kooper Ruminer—-at least it was.

After a strong showing at Schuman’s National Underclassman Combine in Tulsa {OK}, Ruminer is starting to turn some heads including the one’s patrolling the base of Campanile Hill.

In the world of High School recruiting, some players are super stars from the start, some take seasoning, and others simply have a bout of bad luck. Park Hill South High School athlete Miles Hammond would fit into the latter category.

After suffering through a 2011 season in which he suffered a nagging high ankle sprain that virtually ended his season, Hammond is ready to bounce back in 2012 and bust open his recruitment process.

New Kansas Head Coach Charlie Weis continues to bolster the talent of the Jayhawks roster with fierce recruiting by a staff known for their abilities to lure in top notch talent. One of the players near the top of Kansas’ wish list is New Hope, Minnesota defensive back Malik Rucker .

Turner Baty Has Lofty Aspirations

Shortly after new Kansas Football Coach Charlie Weis arrived on campus, he made quick work in upgrading the talent pool. Starting at the quarterback position, Weis landed two transfer quarterbacks in Dayne Crist and Jake Heaps that were easily the two best QB prospects to ever settle in Lawrence.

But to much less fanfare Weis also snuck in City College of San Francisco quarterback Turner Baty whose name could become much more relevant quicker than anyone believes.

Kellen Ash Will Bring Versatility

When St. Louis (MO) Parkway South Junior Kellen Ash announced his intentions of playing football at the University of Kansas in 2013 it was assumed that Coach Charlie Weis had landed a speedy OLB that would terrorize opposing quarterbacks with blazing speed. Already Ash has proven his worth as a pass rusher in high school but he will bring more than just sacks to KU’s new and improving defense.
