The Kansas Jayhawks started their blowout of Colorado early Saturday afternoon inside Allen Fieldhouse. The closest Colorado would get in the game was during the opening seconds when it was still 0-0. Jeff Withey’s lay-up changed that and the Jayhawks were off and running…..and dunking…..and shooting….and blocking…..and passing……

Kansas was led by SG Ben McLemore’s 24 points (6-16, 2-6 from 3, 10-11 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Forward Kevin Young played great throughout the game as he went 8-9 from the field for 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Elijah Johnson added 11 points, Jeff Withey 8 points and 5 blocks and Travis Releford went for 10 points, 6 assists and 1 monster poster-making dunk.

Kansas finished the game 34-62 – 54% from the field. 8-20 from 3 – 40%. CU finished the game 20-54 – 37%. 2-13 from 3 15.4%.
