2014 PG Joel Berry was one to watch at Nike EYBL Peach Jam this past weekend. The 6’1″ PG from Florida put on an offensive show over his six games averaging 17.2 ppg to go along with his 7 apg. Berry had little trouble getting inside defenses and either finishing at the rim or getting to the free throw line. In six game Berry went 37-45 from the line and many of those were And1 opportunities. Berry also showed good court vision and used his ability to penetrate the lane to find an open teammate for the easy bucket. Although he struggled from the three (2-13), Berry has shown that he can be more consistent from deep throughout the summer. Berry’s strength makes him a very tough match-up for opponents on the defensive end.
