Perry Ellis has dominated Kansas high school basketball ever since he stepped 0nto the court as a freshman for Wichita Heights High School. Ellis has won three straight Gatorade Player of the Year, won three straight State Championships and is a big reason why Heights is well on their way to a fourth straight by winning 58 straight games - which is the longest active winning streak in the country. Ellis has accomplished everything any high school athlete could ever dream of, and he’s done while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and dealing with the attention that comes with being a top national recruit. Now Perry Ellis will finish his high school career as a McDonald’s All American, and as the most decorated Kansas high school basketball player ever.Perry is the 8th player from the State of Kansas to be named to the All – American game rosters, the 6th from Wichita and 4th from Wichita Heights. The last player from Kansas was in Wayne Simien in 2001. Ellis is also the 29th McDonald’s All American for the Jayhawks.
