Thomas Robinson scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds in the 67-63 Kansas win over Georgetown Monday night in the Maui Invitational. Robinson went 7-14 from the field, including 5 dunks gym rattling dunks but it took a couple of clutch free throws and a big defensive rebound from junior Travis Releford seal the win for the Jayhawks.
Throughout much of the game it felt as if the Jayhawks were in complete control. In fact, it felt as if the Jayhawks were up by 20 and the game was never in doubt. The young and scrappy Hoyas just wouldn’t go away throughout the game, and even found themselves leading the 14th ranked Jayhawks in both the first and second half.
The Jayhawks were able to withstand multiple attempts by the Hoyas to take control of the game in order to come away with the win.
