LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas guards Tyshawn Taylor and Elijah Johnson will not participate in the KU’s two exhibition games for violating team rules during the offseason, Jayhawks’ head coach Bill Self announced Sunday.
“Tyshawn and Elijah have both been terrific since school began in August,” Self said. “They’ve not only performed well, they have been very responsible and disciplined the first few months of the school year. But during the offseason they violated a rule that I told them, because of some past experiences, their punishment was going to be severe and I was going to hold them out of the two exhibition games. They have been aware of this for several months and also are disappointed, but have had very positive attitudes about it.” Read the rest of this entry »
Is it Enough?

The date was September 17th probably doesn’t ring a bell but trust me it started with a lot of excitement and optimism. Your Kansas Jayhawks were 2-0 and looking very much 
improved from the squad from the previous year. Unfortunately the Jayhawks ran into a buzz saw that day in Georgia Tech and the winning never returned.
Kansas was again dismantled 43-0 Saturday night against a down Longhorns squad that is still struggling to find an identity. Again we saw players like linebacker Steven Johnson make plays even Rudy would be inspired by but it never seems to be enough to notch a victory—or even stay competitive.
With such disparity between the expectations from what a Big 12 team should be, and the reality of where this team is, the question of when enough is enough will continue to rear its ugly head.
