5-Keys to Victory: Kansas vs. Texas Tech

Posted by Josh Scotten On September - 30 - 2011

The Texas Tech Red Raiders ride into Lawrence, KS this Saturday at 11 to kick off the start of Big 12 season. After their forgettable 22-66 lost to Georgia Tech, not many are giving Kansas much of a chance for victory but you shouldn’t count these Jayhawks out yet—here’s 5 reasons why.

1. Stopping Seth Doege

The play of Kansas Quarterback Jordan Webb has been nothing short of beyond expectation but the play of Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege has been out of this world. The Kansas basketball program hosted a great crop of prospects this past weekend for the first Legends of the Phog (highlights) exhibition basketball game inside historic Allen Fieldhouse. Class of 2012 committed prospects Zach Peters (Prestonwood Academy/Plano,TX video) and Perry Ellis (Wichita Heights/Wichita, KS video), along with fellow 2012 prospects Andrew White and Ioannis Papapetrou attended the event. The Jayhawks also had a few prospects from the 2013  class in attendance last weekend, including possibly the best player in the 2013 class, Julius Randle (Prestonwood Academy/Plano, TX video), along with his high school teammate 2013 PG Marquan Botley (Prestonwood Academy/Plano, TX).

Local prospects Tory Miller (Lee’s Summit North/Lee’s Summit, MO), Khadre Lane (Bishop Seabury/ Lawrence, KS video) and Clayton Cluster (Blue Valley Northwest/Overland Park, KS) also attended last Saturday. Read the rest of this entry »
