Many Kansas football recruits have already seen their season come to an end, but there are still a ffew players that are now busy preparing to bring the state title home. Here’s a look at this weekend’s games.
Kansas 6A
Victor Simmons, Adonis Saunders and Olathe North took revenge for their only loss of the season when they beat Olathe East 13-6. Saunders had a 59 yard TD run, and Simmons had quite a game himself. Simmons had a blocked PAT and a forced fumble.
-Up next, a rematch of last year’s Championship Game against Kansas Commit Dreamius Smith and Wichita Heights in the Championship game
Dreamius Smith and Wichita Heights had a Jayhawk like comeback victory over Dodge City 42-38. At one point Heights was down by 28 points. Smith rushed for 115 yards on 20 carries including a 1 yard TD run. Smith also completed 1 pass for a 45 yard TD

Kansas 5A
Ben Heeney and Hutchinson will not repeat as state champs, the Salthawks lost to Bishop Carroll 21-0. Heeney ran the ball 29 times for 93 yards.
Arkansas 5A
Jason Hensley and Alma lost to Fairview 28-21.
Arkansas 4A
Travis Bodenstein and Shiloh Christian defeated Mcgehee 56-0.
