Guard Jacob Pullen (Kansas State) has been named as the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, it was announced. It marks the first time in KSU history that the school has had the conference’s preseason Player of the Year. Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (Missouri) is the Preseason Newcomer of the Year, while guard Josh Selby (Kansas) was tabbed Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year. “Everyone loves Naadir”
The Kansas Jayhawks secured their first commitment of the 2011 class on Wednesday morning when PG Naadir Tharpe announced his intentions to attend the University of Kansas. Kansas players expect success
Sherron Collins, Cole Aldrich and Xavier Henry are gone, but that doesn’t mean the 2010-2011 edition of Kansas basketball won’t have expectations. After-all it is Kansas, and the Jayhawks have dominated the Big 12 since the league was formed. Self ready for another great run
Kansas head coach Bill Self met with the media during KU men’s basketball’s media day on Tuesday. Self, who is entering his 8th season at Kansas, feels the 2010-2011 edition of the Jayhawks will be one of the most athletic teams he’s had since his arrival back in 2003. With former star players Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich moving on to the NBA, it will be up to returning players like Tyshawn Taylor and Marcus Morris to lead the Jayhawks this season. One Kansas star to witness anothers big day
January 29th will be all about Kansas basketball on ESPN when the network brings its College GameDay crew to Lawrence for Kansas State @ Kansas game. January 29th will also be all about former Kansas superstar, Wayne Simien, as he will have his jersey hung in the rafters alongside names like Chamberlain, White and Manning.
