selfRumors starting flying around Friday afternoon that the NCAA has ruled Kansas freshman, Josh Selby, ineligible for the 2010-11 season. In a statement released by Kansas Coach Bill Self on Friday, Selby’s case still remains in limbo as the NCAA continues to look into his eligibility.

“We have had numerous inquiries about the status of Josh Selby. The NCAA has cleared Josh to be on scholarship, attend class and practice, but he has not yet been cleared for participation,” said Self. ”That process is ongoing. It is not uncommon for these cases to take time, as we have seen in many other cases. Of course we would prefer that this be behind us, but we respect the process and will not comment further until it is complete,” he added.
