The wait for April 17th to arrive will seem short compared to the clock watching that will surely take place throughout this upcoming Saturday. It’s that night that the college basketball world will learn where two of the best players in the land will attend college. The ESPNU 100 #5 player, Josh Selby, is expected to announce his decision during halftime of the Jordan Brands Classic in New York City. The #29 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Doron Lamb, is expected to announce his decision shortly before Selby during the Jordan Brands Classic festivities.
Selby, who was the best player throughout McDonald’s All American week, will choose between Kansas, Tennessee, UCONN, Arizona and Kentucky. The 6’3″ 180 pound guard from Baltimore has become the most sought after recruits since he de-committed from Tennessee in July. Despite the distractions since reopening his recruitment, Selby has continued to show why he could easily be called the best player in the 2010 class when on the court.
Lamb has gone through the process just like he plays the game. Smooth and steady is the way for him, and fans shouldn’t expect anything less when he announces his college decision. The 6’4″ d0 it all perimeter player will choose between Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, UCONN, West Virginia and Kentucky on Saturday night. Lamb’s midrange game is best describe and smooth and unstoppable. His knack for getting his shot off in the lane is tremendous, and he has now made his three point shot more consistent – making him even more of an offensive threat.
The anticipation will be huge on Saturday night, and then that anticipation will likely focus on Terrence Jones just a few days later.
