The Jayhawks play a very exciting brand of basketball and normally lead the Big 12 in scoring by creating offense from their aggressive man-to-man defense, which applies hard ball pressures. In the half court, they use plenty of ball screen actions along with a high-low game. With the graduation of Sherron Collins, the only returning PG will be Elijah Johnson, who can move off the ball and score nicely when needed. Knight would have the opportunity to come in and be an impact player right away for the Jayhawks. There certainly has been a rich tradition of NBA players from Kansas. The highest-rated point guard in recent history to be drafted was Kirk Hinrich, who was a lottery pick in 2003. Coach Bill Self also recruited Deron Williams (Jazz) at Illinois. When you play for Self, you’re not only going to win games; you’ll also win championships. Plus, the Jayhawks have incredible fans, and Allen Fieldhouse is one of the most exciting environments in college basketball.
