The #7 player in the ESPN 100, Josh Selby, has closed the door on his recruitment as of today according to his mother, Maeshon Witherspoon. Instead Selby and Witherspoon will only look at the schools that have remained on their list over the past few weeks. Those schools are Arizona, UCONN, Kentucky and Kansas. In addition to closing the door on Selby’s recruitment, Selby and Witherspoon will not be attending tonight’s game between Maryland and Duke.
“We will not be attending the the Duke – MD (Maryland) game today,” said Maeshon Witherspoon. “I received a call from a coach that they are hosting a recruit for an official visit and didn’t want Josh to overshadow the recruit. As of today the door is closed on Selby’s recruitment. We are going to concentrate on the schools that are on his list,” she added.
As for Selby’s plans to visit Kentucky this coming weekend, those plans are still up in the air since Selby’s Lake Clifton team is currently working towards winning another state championship.
