The #8 player in the ESPNU Terrific 25, Perry Ellis, was named the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year this morning by the Gatorade Company, in collaboration with ESPN RISE. Ellis, a sophomore at Wichita Heights High School, has now been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for a second time. Ellis led Heights to another a 23-2 record, and a second consecutive Kansas 6a state title. For the season, Ellis averaged 22.2 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game while maintaining his perfect 4.0 GPA. Read the rest of this entry »
