The #25 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Doron Lamb, will make his college decision known on April 17th at the Jordan Brand Classic in New York City, according to his father, Calvin Lamb. Lamb is the second known player that will announce at the Jordan Brand Classic. Josh Selby, the #7 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, will also announce on his decision on April 17th.
“Yes. At the Jordan Brand Classic,” said Calvin Lamb about Doron’s announcement. “We were thinking about doing it there anyway, and then they approached us so it worked out,” added Lamb.
According to Lamb, Doron will choose between Kansas, Kentucky, UCONN, Arizona and West Virginia. Lamb has also heard the buzz that Doron and Selby could play together in colleg, Lamb thinks that might be something special.
“I’ve heard it,” said Lamb about the Doron and Selby playing together. “Oh man – that would be scary,” he added.
With Doron back home in New York for a few weeks of spring break, the entire Lamb family has had some time to talk about the Doron’s future.
“Not a lot but we have talked and he’s got a pretty good idea,” said Lamb. “He’s not really sure yet, but I think he’ll know by the McDonalds game and announce at the Jordan game,” he added.
As for the teams that remain on Lamb’s list, Calvin certainly took some time this past weekend to watch them on television.
“I watched the Big East games, Mississippi State and Kentucky, and Kansas against Kansas State,” said Lamb. “They’re good, and they will be good regardless next year,” added Lamb.
