McDonalds3As we all learned Thursday afternoon on ESPNU, Josh Selby, Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb were all selected to play in the 2010 McDonald’s All American game. All three players have the Kansas Jayhawks among the schools they’re currently considering. All three of the players see that being selected to play in the McDonald’s All American game is a sign that all of their hard work is paying off.

According to Brandon Knight’s father playing in the McDonald’s All American is something he has wanted to do for some time.

“It’s going to be great,” said Efrem Knight. “He wanted to play in the game and now he will get to do that,” added Knight about Brandon.

For Doron Lamb, being selected to play in the game is something that he set as a goal long ago.

“All my hard work paid off,” said Lamb. “It was a goal of mine,” he added.

According to his mother, Maeshon Witherspoon, Selby couldn’t be more pleased about being selected to play in the game.

“Josh is honored and blessed to be one of the 24 to play in the game,” said Maeshon Witherspoon. “He knows it’s a privilege,” she added.

Witherspoon also added that Selby is already eyeing a spot in the dunk contest while in Columbus.

The 2010 edition of the McDonald’s All American game will be held in Columbus, Ohio on March 31st.
