Everything you need for tomorrow’s game
KU’s most important matchup: Jacob Pullen. The Kansas State guard was 4-of-30 against Texas and Oklahoma State but bounced back with 25 points in a win at Baylor, going 6-of-7 from 3-point range. Pullen is a productive player who has really improved his efficiency. He’s hit 60 3s and shot 142 free throws. Kansas will have to limit him in order to win. Collins’ Legitimate POY Candidate
Anyone who has paid even the slightest bit of attention to the college basketball season thus far has heard all about heralded Kentucky freshman John Wall. His blend of eye popping athleticism and incredible speed has tantalized basketball fans and analysts all over the country. Until their loss to South Carolina earlier this week Wall had lead his Kentucky team to a 19-0 record, a number one ranking and has been considered to be the leading candidate for player of the year award. McDonald makes the switch
Three-star cornerback, Dexter McDonald of Rockhurst (Kansas City, Mo.) has pledged to sign with the Jayhawks’ recruiting Class of 2010 after decommitting from the Tigers.
McDonald (6-foot-2, 190-pounds) had been committed to Illinois before making the move to Missouri last week.
The Jayhawks also added depth to the defensive line on Thursday with the commitment of Keba Agostinho, from Taylor High School in Katy, Texas. The 6’2″ 240 pound lineman chose Kansas over schools like Baylor and Houston.
Surprise guest watching Selby tonight?
The #7 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Josh Selby, will have another coaching staff checking in on him tonight when Lake Clifton faces Maritime Industry Academy in Baltimore. It was just two nights ago that two members from the Kansas coaching staff, Joe Dooley and Kurtis Townsend, made their way to Baltimore to check in on Selby. The coaches certainly got a show as Selby explode for 41 points in Lake Clifton’s win against City College. Now coaches from a not so unfamiliar school will be checking in on the 6’3″ 180 pound guard from Baltimore. Read the rest of this entry »
