Maeshon Witherspoon, the mother of the #8 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Josh Selby, sent a message to THeShiver.com regarding Selby’s recruitment.
“There are more schools who have called expressing interest in Josh. Some have showed up at his games and they are trying to see if they have a chance,” Witherspoon said. “These schools need a point guard and since we haven’t committed yet we are one they are looking at. I can’t say if these schools will get a visit or not. Arizona is a possibility because I have known Book since AAU. They do need a point guard and Josh and “Momo” played together with Baltimore Elite. I will send out a text once a date is confirmed. I received a call that Cincinnati will be at the game today. I have not gone public with any of the schools because I am not sure if it will amount to anything, and I don’t want to open the door to everybody. I know as these players start to commit schools will be scrounging trying to get who is left. Josh has 5 official visits he can take, maybe he uses all 5, or maybe not,” added Witherspoon.
