Three-star Defensive End, Geneo Grissom, finished his high school football career on Saturday by winning another state championship as Grissom and his Hutchinson High School (KS) Salthawks defeated the Gardner Edgerton Trailblazers, 52-13. After Trailblazers’ starting quarterback, Bubba Starling, got off to a hot start in the first half, Grissom and the rest of the Hutch defense shut down Starling and the Trailblazers’ offense by holding them scoreless in the second half.
Grissom, who now measures 6′5″, saw multiple double teams throughout the game, but still managed to apply pressure to Starling. Hutch countered by moving Grissom all over the defensive line, making it difficult for the Trailblazers to account for his where-abouts before snapping the ball. Read the rest of this entry »
