IMG_0151Three-star Defensive End, Geneo Grissom, finished his high school football career on Saturday by winning another state championship as Grissom and his Hutchinson High School (KS) Salthawks defeated the Gardner Edgerton Trailblazers, 52-13. After Trailblazers’ starting quarterback, Bubba Starling, got off to a hot start in the first half, Grissom and the rest of the Hutch defense shut down Starling and the Trailblazers’ offense by holding them scoreless in the second half.

Grissom, who now measures 6′5″, saw multiple double teams throughout the game, but still managed to apply pressure to Starling.  Hutch countered by moving Grissom all over the defensive line, making it difficult for the Trailblazers to account for his where-abouts before snapping the ball. Bradley-BealMonday morning ended a weekend full of anticipation when the #15 ranked player in the ESPNU Super 60, Brad Beal, announced that he would attend the University of Florida in the fall 0f 2011. The Gators were one of six schools that Beal had considered, but in the end, Beal just felt like Florida was the place for him. Read the rest of this entry »

Brad Beal chooses Florida

Bradley-BealFlorida coach Billy Donovan added another key piece to the Gators 2011 recruiting class on Monday morning when the #15 ranked player in the ESPN Super 60, Brad Beal, announced his plans to attend the University of Florida. Beal is the second top 15 player in the 2011 class to commit to the Gators. He  joins the #2 ranked player in the ESPNU Super 60, Austin Rivers.

As TheShiver.com reported this weekend, ESPN Super 60 SG, Brad Beal, will announce his college decision this morning during a small press conference inside Chaminade Prep High School in St. Louis. TheShiver.com will speak to Brad about his decision shortly after he announces. 

 

Taylor Leads Jayhawks Past Golden Eagles

tyshawn-taylor1The Kansas Jayhawks had their hottest shooting night of the young season against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, en route to an easy 112-75 victory in Allen Fieldhouse.  Kansas shot 40-66 on the night for a 60.6% from the field, and had 29 assists to make the victory that much more impressive.  Kansas improves to 5-0, while Tennessee Tech drops to 3-4 on the year. The breakout performer and star of the night was Tyshawn Taylor, who scored a team high 18 points on the game. Read the rest of this entry »
