Kyle Wiltjer3The #32 ranked player in the ESPNU Super 60, Kyle Wiltjer, picked up more scholarship offers over the past few days. According to Wiltjer, Stanford, Harvard and Kansas all offered the 6′9″, 221 pound power forward from Oregon. Wiltjer is preparing for an unofficial visit this weekend to one of his schools of interest.

“The latest are Stanford, Kansas, and Harvard,” Wiltjer said of the schools that have recently offered him scholarships.

According to Wiltjer, it was during a telephone conversation with his father that Kansas Head Coach, Bill Self, extended the offer.

“He spoke to my dad,” said Wiltjer of Coach Self extending the offer during the telephone conversation.

As for any unofficial visits that Wiltjer might take this fall or winter, only one trip has been planned so far and it will take place this weekend.

“I’m taking one this weekend to Wake Forest,” said Wiltjer. “But I haven’t scheduled anything else yet,” added Wiltjer.

Here is the September evaluation of Wiltjer from ESPN Scout’s, Inc.

September, 2009:Wiltjer has grown an inch or two since the regular season and he has put on some positive muscle as well. However, for him to reach his potential he needs to play with more of a “mean” streak. He is a finesse 4-man with a great feel for the game and a effortless shooting stroke out to 23-feet. His shot is feathery, quick, and it has excellent rotation. In addition to his shooting prowess he is a high-level passer. In the area of rebounding he’ll need to elevate his toughness around the basket. He gets his fair share of tip-ins and put-backs due to his deceptive bounce. Other than his lack of physical play at times a major issue with Wiltjer may be who he guards at the next level. He doesn’t slide his feet very well and he may have trouble checking quicker fours at the next level.
