The #4 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Brandon Knight, will be making his way to Lawrence, Kansas during Halloween weekend late this month to officially visit the University of Kansas. Knight had originally planned to visit Kansas on October 16th to take in the annual basketball kick off celebration, ‘Late Night in the Phog.’ Those plans changed once it was discovered that Knight’s Senior Homecoming at Pine Crest High School was scheduled for October 17th. TheShiver.com caught up with Knight’s father, Efrem Knight, about the visit and some thoughts about the Kansas program.
“On my end it’s confirmed,” said Efrem Knight. “I just need to get ahold of the coaches to confirm it on their end,” added Knight.
One reason that the Knight family was unable to confirm the visit earlier, was because they wanted to be positive that Brandon, a 4.0 student, had no school obligations that could once again push the visit date out.
“We wanted to make sure there wasn’t any exams,” Knight said about confirming the visit date to Kansas. “No exams, but I am just waiting to get back in touch with the staff,” added Knight.
During the visit, Knight will be able to gauge just how well he might fit the Kansas program on and off the court. On the court, Efrem Knight feels that Brandon could be a good fit for the Jayhawks.
“He seems to fit in their system,” Knight said of the Jayhawks.
