Twenty Eight points off of turnovers resulted in the self destruction of the Kansas Jayhawks at Jones AT&T Stadium against Texas Tech. The Jayhawks struggled throughout the game moving the ball on offene and 4 turnovers only made matters worse for the Jayhawks as they fell 42-21 to the Red Raiders. Kansas fell to 5-3 overall while Texas Tech improved to 6-3 (3-2 Big 12). With four league games still left, KU dropped to 1-3 in the Big 12. Read the rest of this entry »

Turnovers Bury Jayhawks In Lubbock
Selby to visit Indiana in November
Having already made an unofficial visit to Kansas on October 16th, the #8 ranked player in the ESPNU 100, Josh Selby, is now ready to check out one of the five schools that remain on his list. According to his mother, Maeshon Witherspoon, Selby will unofficially visit Indiana on November 14th.
Originally Selby and Witherspoon hoped to make two visits in the coming weeks, but were unable to set up another visit before Selby begins his senior season. One of those visits would have been taken this weekend to Kentucky, but those plans got put on hold once the Wildcats began plans to practice in Louisville this weekend. Grissom picks up LSU offer
Three-star DE, Geneo Grissom, ended his recruitment in June when he committed to his home state Kansas Jayhawks. Since his senior season at Hutchinson High School kicked off, Grissom’s play on the field has Kansas fans excited about his future as a Jayhawk. Grissom has looked unblock-able this season and it appears that the Jayhawks aren’t the only ones to notice. Although committed to the Jayhawks, Grissom has recently picked up a scholarship offer from the LSU Tigers and, according to Grissom’s coach, Randy Dreiling, the Tigers have made Grissom one of their targets in the 2010 class. Kansas is #1
In a not-so-shocking development Thursday the Kansas Jayhawks were voted #1 in the ESPN/USA Today Preseason Poll. A ranking that has been anticipated since last April, when PG, Sherron Collins, and Center, Cole Aldrich, decided to return to Kansas for the 2009-10′ season. The Jayhawks received another boost in April when former Memphis guard, C.J. Henry, and his brother, the #3 recruit in the 2009 class, Xavier Henry, made the decision to attend Kansas after being released from his Letter of Intent when John Calipari decided to leave Memphis to take over as the new Kentucky coach. Walker preparing for Kansas
When three-star quarterback, Jacoby Walker, decided to end his recruitment and commit to the Kansas Jayhawks back in June, it looked as if the Jayhawks had landed their quarterback of the future. Judging by his play so far in his senior season at Westfield High School in Houston, Walker has shown exactly why he could make an immediate impact once he arrives on campus in January.
