untitledThe Kansas Jayhawks are still working on their 2010 recruiting class and the coaches are already beginning to make sure that the top 2011 targets are aware that the Jayhawks are interested in them. Millwood (OK) High School quarterback, Kevonte Richardson, is one recruit that the Kansas staff is interested in. According to Richardson, the feeling is mutual.

“It means a lot to me to have a Big 12 school offer me,” said Richardson.”I really like Kansas though. After seeing the campus and talking to coaches and trainers. It really means a lot to me to be offered by Kansas,” added Richardson.

The visit to Lawrence that Richardson is referring to happened in May when he made the trip to KU with the newest Kansas commit, Trayvon Henry.

“I thought it was real nice,” Richardson said. “It was the first time I had ever visited a college like that. I got to talk to coach Miller and coach Mangino and see the new facilities,” added Richardson.

Richardson already has thoughts of making the trip back to Lawrence in the near future.

“I think I’m going back up to Kansas,” said Richardson.”I know that the staff mentioned to my coach about me and my family possibly going up there,” added Richardson.

According to Richardson, he currently has offers from Kansas, Tulsa, UNLV, Utah State and Louisiana Tech. Richardson doesn’t seem positive of when he will end his recruitment.

“I don’t know. People ask me that all the time, but I just don’t know,” said Richardson. “I think I might just wait for a little bit,” added Richardson.
