Here are this week’s Big 12 offensive and defensive effectiveness scores.
It’s a simple measurement where each scoring drive that ends up in a touchdown gets a point. Each one that produces a field goal gets a half-point. Special teams touchdowns are not included on either and offense.
I then divide that score by the number of possessions for a grade of the effectiveness that an offense or defense might have had for the week. The higher the offensive score, the better of a unit. And the lower a defensive score, the better.
