The final pieces of the Kansas Jayhawks 2009 recruiting class will be in Lawrence on Monday when Xavier and C.J. Henry arrive in town according to Xavier Henry. After a spring and summer full of ups and downs with the Henry brothers, with their arrival on Monday, it marks the start of the march towards a national championship for the Jayhawks and their fans. Both Henry brothers are excited to start class, and to begin their careers at Kansas. Both also have high expectations for the 2009-10′ basketball season.
With the addition of Xavier on the wing, the Jayhawks now have the terrific scorer they needed to compliment Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich. Henry is a great mix of size and strength, who can knock down three point attempts, finish at the rim, or show off his unstoppable mid range game. The addition of C.J. Henry adds some tremendous depth to the Jayhawks backcourt. C.J. was known for his sweet stroke from outside in high school, and according to all that have seen him lately, C.J. hasn’t lost that touch. C.J. also provides additional size at the guard position, with a very mature body.
“Just ready to get up there finally,” said Xavier Henry.
Kansas fans are ready for their arrival too.
While C.J. will be moving into an apartment off campus, Xavier will be moving into the Jayhawk Towers with his teammates and now roommate Chase Buford.
