Marcus MurphyThree-star running back Marcus Murphy put on a show Saturday night with 238 total yards and 5 touchdowns against rival Cedar Hill (TX).  Unfortunately for Murphy and his DeSoto High School (TX) teammates, the impressive performance wasn’t enough to hold off their rival.  DeSoto fell to Cedar Hill 41-44 despite racing out to a 28-7 lead in the first half.

With Saturday’s game televised on ESPN, Murphy showed the country why he should be considered one of the most versatile running backs in Texas. Murphy totaled 97 yards receiving, had a 59 yard kick off return and put points on the board with one receiving touchdown and four rushing touchdowns on the night. Despite the loss, Murphy seemed encouraged by where his team is this early in the season. Read the rest of this entry »
