Will Kansas Get a Visit?

The best way to describe Calvin Coolidge High School (D.C.) Avery Williams is just by simply saying the word play-maker. Williams has used his versatility on the field to make himself one of the most electrifying players in the country. It’s those skills that has also made Williams one of the most highly sought after recruits in the country. West Virginia, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan State, Rutgers, and Utah. Williams recently had the opportunity to compete against some other top talent at the USC camp in southern California.

“I did great at USC camp. I mean, I think I did,” Williams said. “I just though that kids from states like Texas, Florida, and California that it would be tougher, but I didn’t feel any pressure and I showed that the D.C. area can play,” added Williams.

With his versatility, many have wondered just what position schools have been recruiting him for.

“Mostly just an athlete,” Williams said. “West Virginia is talking about offense, but Georgia has talked about defensive back,” added Williams.

As for the Kansas Jayhawks, it appears that Williams is just waiting for the Jayhawks to extend an offer.

“I’m just waiting for them to offer and then I’ll add them to my list of official visits,” Williams said of the Jayhawks.

As for his thoughts on Kansas, Williams certainly has positive thoughts of the Jayhawks.

“I think Kansas is a great Big 12 team,” Williams said. “The competition is tough, but they are getting talent. The offense is magnificancent and difficult to stop. I saw them play against Missouri last year,” added Williams.

Although Lawrence is exactly close to Washington D.C., that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Williams either.

“Not a problem at all,” Williams said about distance. “Nothing too far for a free education,” added Williams.

Education is certainly important for Williams, who is trying to decide if he wants to major in health-care by either being a personal trainer or design health-care products.

As far as when he will make his visits, Williams hopes to have them done by time the season starts.

“I will take my visits as soon as I get all the offers and stuff. The end of July is my timetable, and I want to commit before my season starts so I can concentrate on winning a state tittle,” said Williams. “I will visit West Virginia in August and the others will come shortly after. The latest will be September,” added Williams.
