Phil Pressey showed off his ability to run his team as a true PG Wednesday evening at the Hoops City Top 24 Tournament in Shawnee, Kansas. The 5’11″ 165 pound point guard from Dallas did a terrific job of scoring exactly when his team needed him to, especially late in the game. Pressey would often sense that his team needed a bucket late in the game as Team Texas Elite was working to get back into the lead late in the second half after giving up a 13 point lead. Pressey had little trouble working his way into the lane for a banked in floater or an acrobatic lay-up during the late stretch that helped his team retake the lead. Pressey also had one of the biggest plays during the game as well. With just under a minute to go, Pressey made his way all the way to the basket in transition and was able to score the lay-up despite being fouled on the play. Pressey then lined up for the free throw, and had little trouble converting the three point play.
Pressey spent a few minutes talking to TheShiver.com after the game.
