Even with a tweaked hamstring coming into the Nike combine and camp last weekend in the Dallas/Forth Worth area, North Garland High School (TX) wide receiver Anthony McGhee still managed to stand out. At 5’11″ 170 pounds, McGhee showed the ability to get in and out of cuts, and the ability to separate from his defender during one on one drills. McGhee also looked like the type of athlete that could be recruited as just that, an athlete. McGhee could play receiver, special teams returner, or even switch sides and play defensive back.
McGhee showed little emotion throughout both days, as he appeared to be totally focused on performing as well as possible during the camp and combine. His business-like approach to the events paid off, as he became one of the few to stand out during both events.
McGhee list Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Iowa State as schools that have shown interest.
