KU vs MU

Cory gets on the phone with Julian Wright, talks NBA, has some tournament advice for Jayhawks.
In 2007, when KU basketball star Julian Wright was drafted into the NBA, he left behind legions of fans, a winning program and a reputation as that of a selfless player. Its not a far stretch to imagine that, given his athletic ability and his propensity to hustle and make others look better, he’ll be a highly successful NBA player. Currently playing for the Hornets, I spoke to Julian this morning on the phone and asked him about his NBA experience so far, his thoughts on High School kids going straight to the NBA and his advice for the current Jayhawks as the tournament nears. All that and more below.

Morningstar is Heart of the Jayhawks
There was a time when I disliked Brady Morningstar. I don’t mean personally, I’ve never met the guy, but there was something about him as a basketball player that rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it’s the way that he looks, like a frat boy, not an athlete. Maybe it’s the way he was always mugging for the camera with Brandon Rush.
