Xavier Henry was injured in a car accident today in his hometown. He is said to be ok, but did suffer a fractured cheekbone. We will update if anything new becomes available.

The buzz of the day (about 3 minutes ago) is that both staff’s (Kansas and Memphis) will be at Putnam High School today to see the X man.

As most of our readers know, Bill Self said a few weeks back that he was looking to bring in 3-4 recruits in the 09′ class. With the commitments of Thomas Robinson and Elijah Johnson the two currently available scholarships have been awarded.
College Basketball Top 25: SHIVER Style

Last season was a great run for the Big XII and Kansas, but the time has come to move on. I have rated North Carolina as our number one, but will not with the certainty that you see from other sources. There are plenty of teams on our top 25 that will be able to cut down the nets this year. We at the Shiver believe that Louisville will be the likeliest to do it if North Carolina falters this year.

For the second year in a row, Perry Ellis (2012) and family had the opportunity to check out the Kansas basketball program and enjoy the “Late Night” festivities. We were lucky enough to catch a few minutes with the mother of Perry Ellis, Fonda Ellis.
